Program structure

This is a part-time 3-month program with virtual and in-person components in Australia and Vietnam.

The Australia Vietnam Growth program (AVG) is funded by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

By the end of the program, you will have:
Developed your Vietnam engagement hypothesis
Begun validating or implementing your strategy
Built a curated local network in Vietnam
Connected with potential partners and governments

APPLICATIONS

Submit your application before the deadline. Applications will be reviewed and accepted on a rolling basis. We will reach out to you to schedule an interview if there is potential.

‍4 weekly masterclasses on essential business and cultural topics, workshops and founders’ experiences to help you understand the fundamentals of doing business in Vietnam. Learn from others who have been through the journey before you.

Are there any program costs? Will you take equity?
The program does not charge any fees or equity.

However, companies are required to fund their own travel expenses to Vietnam. ‍
Are flights and accommodation provided for participants?
Participants are expected to arrange their own flights and accommodation for the in-market immersion portion of the program.
What is the time commitment?
There are approximately 10 hours of content spread over 6 weeks, excluding your 1-on-1 advisory sessions.

Participants are also expected to spend their own time outside of the program to complete their market expansion strategy, reach out to prospective partners and customers and to prepare any other materials.
What type of companies are you looking for?
This program is designed for Australia-based tech companies and peak industry bodies.

How many team members can participate in this program?
Typically, a company would send one of their co-founders or a senior manager to attend the program. If you would like to involve more colleagues from your company, kindly let us know.
Is this program only for tech companies?
No, this program is open to tech companies and industry peak bodies. If you are unsure if you are eligible, please get in touch.
Do I have to be present for the entire duration of the program?
While we encourage founders to fully participate in the entire program, we understand that founders often have pressing business needs and personal obligations.

Therefore, full participation is not mandatory. However, we do ask all participants to join us on the trade mission to Vietnam.
